
purpose of life - on earth, is success, happiness, and peace.
purpose of life - beyond earth, is salvation.
the goals - purusharthas - for these, put together, are - dharma (righteousness), artha (wealth), kama (consummation), moksha (salvation).
the four stages - ashramas - of life through which the life can be lived *fully*, are brhmacharya, grhasta, vaanaprasta, sanyaasa.
the three qualities/states that are inherent in human beings that are available to engage with life are satva, rajas, tamas - goodness, passionate action, and inertia/lethargy.
the needs of the human being are food, protection, health, love/appreciation, knowledge, order and peace.
when you combine all these you get the matrix below.

across the recorded history of human life - described through the aeons - we see the following playoffs..
what is striking is the inescapable play of that universal principle that science acknowledges centrally - Entropy - Disorder (verb) across Time that arises essentially as a function of Change in the manifested.
and what it portends, inexorably, is the End.
