it’s a tenderly poignant thing -

the gentle, fine, wrinkles,

of the wife’s ageing teats;

the man’s capricious libido.

many are such small little losses

of the creeping, midlife, years,

that teach adjustment;

but not resignation,

nor acceptance, yet.
